Warranty on Bike & SCUBA Lights, batteries & chargers

 

Xeccon products comes with Manufacturer's Warranty and Lifetime Service. We ensure that you receive purchases from us in good working order to be used as intended by the manufacturer and / or as specified by us.

 

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. mtbRevolution may be based in China but we adhere local Australian and US consumer law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

 

Should items fail to perform we will repair or replace the faulty item. Our warranty agreement with Xeccon will ensure you're covered when items are purchased from mtbRevolution.

 

As most items are shipped via Toll Priority for Australian domestic sales and Toll Global, UPS, DHL or FedEx there may be instances of shipping or transit damage. If for any reason the parcel looks damaged, please contact us with photo evidence before opening the parcel. If the parcel is in good order and the items within are not working as it should, please contact us immediately so we can investigate the issue. Our insurance policies require photos to enable us to make a claim for damage caused to a package in transit. If you receive an item that is damaged and wish to receive a replacement please email photos of both the damaged item and the packaging, together with your claim so we may process it promptly. This type of warranty situation is termed "Dead on Arrival" or DoA. The DoA period is 7 days from the date you receive the item. All expenses for DOA items are covered solely by mtbRevolution.

 

Bike light head warranty is 12 months. Batteries, chargers and other accessories warranties are 6 months.  

 

Under the warranty provisions, mtbRevolution or manufacturer will repair or replace damaged or faulty goods. If the product cannot be repaired or exchanged by the same or another item with at least the same specifications, a full refund will be provided.

 

It is a condition of each item's warranty that you securely pack the faulty or damaged item so that it is able to be returned to us or the manufacturer via the transport carrier. We strongly recommend you retain the packaging your items comes in for the duration of the warranty period so that, in the unlikely event that you will need to return an item for repair or replacement, you will have adequate packaging available to do so. If you dispose of the packaging then it will be your responsibility to source alternative adequate packaging to use to return the item.

If the item/s are faulty beyond the 7 day DOA period, the return to base freight cost is your responsibility. Freight of remedied or replacement item/s to you is covered by us.

 

Procedure for Warranty Claims

 

To make a warranty claim, please follow the following procedure:

Exclusions

 

All care and attention MUST be given when charging Li-ion cells. Using chargers other than the one provided may damage the battery causing venting and eventual runaway, leading to fire risk. Damaged batteries from misuse or neglect may void warranty. This assessment report will be given to you when we've received the damaged item.

 

High powered LED Light units can run very hot when stationary or used in above average temperatures. While Xeccon light units have thermal protection to reduce driver burnout or meltdown, care must be given to ensure ventilation and cooling of the unit. Neglect of this nature may void the warranty.

 

Replacements or refunds under warranty may not apply if the product has not been installed, operated and maintained in accordance with any instructions provided with the product or as noted on the product listing.

 

If the product has been used in a manner other than for which it was designed, to the extent permitted by relevant legislation, mtbRevolution expressly excludes any liability for any indirect or consequential loss, including for loss of revenue, loss of use, injury or death arising from or in any way relating to the purchase or use of the product.

 

To the extent permitted by law, warranties will only apply to products used for personal / private use. Using products purchased from mtbRevolution for commercial purposes will result in the warranty being void.
